Camila is a Partner at BFT Legal and heads in the Business, Financial and Energy practice areas. She has extensive experience advising clients on acquisition and project transactions, financial services and other matters related to business, corporate financing, general corporate, and energy.

Camila has advised several domestic and foreign clients, mainly in external audits in financial matters, development of financial activities such as the issuance of credit and prepaid cards, the management of cardholder accounts and their relationship with national and international clearing houses, and their incursion in Mexico as Financial Technology Institutions under the recent Mexican Fintech Law. Likewise, she has experience advising clients from different branches of the industry, for the compliance of Anti-Money Laundering and identification of Controlling Beneficiaries regulations.

As a corporate lawyer, Camila has supported numerous foreign companies to start their operations in Mexico and the incorporation of their Mexican subsidiaries, the acquisition of real estate and advising them on their day-to-day operations. In the same way, She has supported plenty of family-owned businesses in their institutionalization processes, achieving their orderly growth for the continuance of the business and in their succession planning.

In addition, she has advised several domestic and foreign clients on energy matters in Mexico, representing them for their entry into the Wholesale Electricity Market, as generators, suppliers, brokers, and end users. He has collaborated in the most important associations for the development and promotion of the energy sector in the State of Nuevo León.

Camila actively participates in the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives, A.C., Monterrey Chapter and is a member of Abogadas MX.

Camila is a Spanish native speaker and is fluent in English, has good knowledge of Portuguese and notions of French.
